Created in 2008 on the initiative of CREDO, e-Toile Pacifique is a network for the exchange of information on research in the French-speaking humanities and social sciences in the South Pacific, also known as Oceania.
Born with the LBSHS Pacific colloque, held in Paris in March 2010, the network has three objectives:
promote multidisciplinary exchanges and collaboration in the South Pacific
promote the visibility of French-language research on the South Pacific
improve the flow of researchers and information
to act as a coordinating body for scientific policy in the South Pacific
provide an interface with international organisations (ESfO, ASAO....)
