Digitization service

Closely linked to the ODSAS archiving platform (see below), CREDO has a digitization department under the responsibility of Caroline Cavallasca. This service prepares and digitizes documents for archiving.

It proceeds in 9 steps:

  • Document filing and inventory
  • Scanning
  • Quality control of scanned files.
  • High-resolution archiving
  • Conversion of high-resolution files to JPEG format for online hosting.
  • Create collections and sets in the database and upload files.
  • Enter basic metadata for collections, then for each subset.
  • Return of originals to the collection owner and delivery of all digitized files.
  • Metadata enrichment by the researcher or collection owner.
