CREDO

The CREDO occupies a central position in France and Europe in the field of social science research (anthropology, archaeology, history, linguistics) focusing on the Oceania region. 

Its dual rootsAix-Marseille University andEcole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales makes it France's leading centre for training in social sciences and humanities research in this part of the world.

As part of the Maison Asie-Pacifique (MAP) the unit is involved in steering the UAR. As such, it manages Europe's largest documentary collection on the Pacific area.
